Announces Release of call accounting and billing software for Cisco's CallManager
CallTrac VoIP tracks,
reports, and bills IP Telephony
GLENDALE, CA-(Oct 7, 2002)- TelSoft
Solutions Inc. today announced the release of CallTrac VoIP - call accounting software designed for Cisco's CallManager.
CallManager is the software-based call-processing component of the Cisco IP telephony solution. CallTrac VoIP supports
both Cisco CallManager as well as all other contemporary telephone systems.
A "Virtual Buffer" module is the core component of the CallTrac VoIP interface to the Cisco CallManager
and can be deployed on various CallManager Clusters feeding CDR back to a single centralized CallTrac system. The
"Virtual Buffer" queries the Cisco CallManager Publisher's database as frequently as needed to provide
near realtime CDR, and uses a TelSoft proprietary protocol featuring ODBC (open database connectivity). This results
in low CPU usage despite virtual real-time reporting.

CallTrac VoIP supports networks of all sizes and configurations and offers complete tracking for Cisco CallManager
networks. It accommodates multiple clusters and multiple gateways at different locations. Heterogeneous networks
are also supported, where a CallManager is featured alongside other PBXs or Key Systems (such as Avaya, Nortel,
NEC, Siemens, Mitel, Ericsson, and others). The system provides users with hundreds of reporting options for inbound,
outbound, station to station, IP intranet and external gateway calls with a pricing engine that enables the user
to assign costs to inbound, outbound, local, long distance, and PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) gateway
calls based on the gateway used.
