MegaBill High-Speed
Telecommunications Billing Module
|
|
Glendale, California (November 22,
1995) -- TelSoft Solutions, Inc. announced today the release of MegaBill, designed for use with today's high performance computer systems.
MegaBill provides a method of billing customers for charges based on records received from a telephone PBX system
or other data source. The system is designed to be flexible. All billing periods are user defined, including any
staggered billing cycles. Cutoff dates, bill dates, and due dates for any billing period are user-defined. The
bill dates are separate from the actual run dates and printing dates. MegaBill also shows the status of any bill
run at a glance.
Methods of billing are flexible. On a customer by customer basis or by customer group, billing is generated in
one of three ways: as accounts receivable; as "soft dollar" bills (where the bill is assigned directly
to a general ledger account and treated as paid as soon as it is generated); or not billed at all (for overhead
accounts). MegaBill supports batch billing and individual customer billing. MegaBill also allows the user to run
summary reports and trials once a bill is generated but before it is printed. If necessary, adjustments can be
made prior to the final run. Another MegaBill feature allows up to thirty-two different taxes and tax rules to
be defined and incorporated within a bill run.
To manage deals, MegaBill lets the user set up a different deal for every customer or group of customers. Each
deal can contain default pricing plus methods different from default pricing such as transaction pricing, minimum
quotas, volume discounts and threshold percentages.
The flexibility of the MegaBill module makes it ideal for customization. The first purchases of MegaBill were for
telecommunications rebilling by medical and shared tenant facilities. |
